Today? It states "Amazingly" we find ourselves unbeaten in eight matches. What's amazing about it? . Didn't we do something similar last season and the season before?. Who said at the beginning of the season that we'd have an unbeaten run almost straight away? I did that's who. It's not amazing to she who made that prediction. Why is it that the powers that be at Tottenham and those who are involved at the deepest level cannot use a bit of foresight to see what will happen? I've repeatedly posted that we haven't reached peak form yet and now some of you are talking about being unbeaten in our next 11 matches. Please maintain the positivity my fellow Spurs supporters and followers because i think we'll do better this season than the last two.

Good article, and it is completely in keeping with the media perception that somehow we are punching above our weight. We are not.
It has taken a few years to assemble this team, and now at last they are starting to perform to a very consistent level. Long may it continue.

More importantly, acquired players where the ROI has been far quicker.
One valid criticism of the club is that although the NET spending on new players has been well-managed over the ENIC era, when you examine the GROSS spending on players, quite a few of them (Bentley etc) have shown a far poorer ROI.
Fortunately, this is something that Levy appears to have realised over the past 3-4 yrs (acquisitions, ability, contracts etc) , and is now controlling diligently.
