Barca At It Again

So the Barca president has come out today and said that we will expect a bid from them of wait for it...less than the 40million euros they offered us last season.

Their reasoning behind this is since then there has been "a bit of wear and tear with Cesc" and that he is worth less now than he was worth last season.

I'm just wondering how much more we can take from them before they are worthy of being reported to FIFA (not that they would do anything) because there comments are not only ways of tapping up our captain but insulting him aswell. It's pathetic really.

And by making it public that they are going to bid for him when contact has not even been made with Arsenal has got to be against some sort of rule, doesn't it?
------------------------------
nope.

as said, it's annoying, distateful and perhaps immoral, but not against the rules.

perhaps everytime they do it we should start doing the same.... publicly offer them 20m for messi, then come back with 10m + denilson.

lol

I see your point with Torres but you have to think, which other team would have actually paid £50m for him.....Man City.......?? Thats about it.
Man City would probably pay that for Cesc, if not more. Barca wont, probably because they only have around 40m euros as a budget but after his season why stump up more?

Appart from Torres who else has actually been very poor and commanded a huge fee?

Barca paid £70M for Ibrahimovic. If €40M is their budget for the Summer then that is their problem, not ours. You don't see Arsenal making derisory offers for players and expecting other clubs to accept the bid because it is only within our budget. If Barca don't come up with the money then they can shove off. You mention the Ronaldo saga with United and Madrid but unlike Barca, Real Madrid came up with the goods and paid United what they wanted, and paid it all up front. Barca are trying to lower the price by unsettling Cesc and getting him to hand in a transfer request. It won't work though.

they have not done anything against the rules.
...................................................................................................
no..and when their players roll for 40 yards on the pitch after they were touched, that is not against the rules either...but should be...

is a shame Barca has such a fabulous football team....and such poor behaviors....they get away with a lot because they are Barca...they push the limits of what is "not against the rules"..

I like the idea of doing to them what they do to others...is only way..fight fire with fire...I have absolutely no respect to how Barca conduct business...is unethical, but yet allowed....

If Barca are reported offering more than 40Mil for that Sanchez player they can offer 50Mil for Fabregas.

Barca need to stop the talking and start acting as they are looking really foolish.

dont compare this to Ronaldo/Madrid saga as after a few month in moaning Real Coughed up the 80Mil. They didnt sent all there 1st team players to the press stating how Ronaldo has that DNA rubbish.

as Jerry would say " Show me the Money"

Zlatan was a while ago now so let just forget that, on about present tense.

Now, I just said they probably wont pay due to there budget, I didnt say you have to accept it and I couldnt care less. IMO I do not feel Cesc valuation has risen, after his season I would say it has slightly dropped. They can bid what they want, they will get a yes or a no. simple as.

My honest opinion, they know Cesc wants to come home, so there just goign to carry on picking away, as you said unsettle him. Lets be honest here, the guy does want to go, he loves arsenal (but its not home for him) and hes being professional by doing his job and not saying "I want to leave". But eventually someone will crack, otherwise how would your captain end up feeling in 3-4-5 years time knowing Arsenal FC were the one who stopped him from returning to his boyhood club. If that was me I wouldnt be haooy

Seriously, we might not like how they've behaved here, but it is a complete joke for us to get on some high horse over this. If they lured (and yes we did lure cesc) wilshere away when he was 16, and wilshere became world class, do you not think we would be a little annoyed at having to pay a ridiculous price to get him back?

uhmmmm..No!!!..I would not be annoyed to pay a high price to get Wilshere back, if Barca turned him into world class..Barca would be receiving what they deserve for their training and development of him,.just as we at Arsenal deserve to be paid for developing Fab into a world class player.....what is so hard to understand about that??.....

Barca wants to sell high..of course..but feel any player that started with them..is their's forever and therefor discounted to them.....get real Barca...this is a 2 way street, and you have to drive both ways also...
