He's gone according to this http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13791674.stm I thought he was staying. If this is old news sorry but it's the first I've heard.

Well i think McFadden could end up either going to Villa, Celtic or maybe one of the Promoted sides.
I understand why he went, we have a option on his contract but to take on a £3M ish wage over 2 years is too much.
Fat chance McFadden would accept a massive 50% or more pay cut, and once McLeish went well McFadden would not be happy to stay here even if we was in the Prem.

Just heard Scott Dann to villa too. Anyone else heard this?

Surely after the week we've had, the board would block any move by villa for a blues player still in contract whether he wanted to go or not.

Not being funny but Dann is too big for Villa.
I recon Liverpool and Spurs would be keeping a eye on him.
Saying that should no other big clubs come for him, then Villa could be a possible destination.
McLeish will try and sign our players, i think we will sell for the right price. McLeish could have to see Young and Downing leave for about £40M i am sure McLeish would want all that to build his new sqaud.
And i am sure that £30M of that will be aimed at Foster, Dann and Johnson.
Right now i feel realistically our players are worth Foster £7-8M, Johnson £7-8M, Dann £10-12M, Gardner £5-6M and Jerome £4M
Thats not over inflated prices of course, such as Santa Cruz for £17M when i valued him at about £9M when he joined Man City.
But alas if we was qouted £13M each or Jones and Pavy and £15M for N'Zogbia then i think we should be asking for these figures.
Foster £10M, Johnson £10M, Dann £15M, Gardner £8M and Jerome £6M
I dont think the board would sell the above for a penny less.
So thats nearly £50M off course me may not get that but if we get about £45M for them the fact is that our new Manager sadly will not see more than 1/4 of that.
And i think thats what McLeish knew, he knew if he sold Dann and Johnson for £20-25M he would be lucky to get £5M to replace them (yes if Promoted he would get funds maybe £10-12M to get 2 new CB's but would he get another Dann and Johnson for that DOUBT IT

I think the McFadden thing is a mistake. HJe's still on the list of first team players on the website while all the others mentioned in the article have been removed.
As for Scott Dann / Ben Foster; does anyone know if there are any premiership rules that prevent Blues from saying no to villa, but negotiating with other clubs?

Yeah I thought it could be a mistake with the McFadden news, I hope so.
Banjo, agree with what you say. I think we all know that Dann will go somewhere soon but please, anywhere but villa!

I think if another club bids for a player, the selling club can always refuse/demand more money if they want. They are under no obligation to sell even if the player is transfer listed. They can also refuse a players request to be listed but who would want to keep a player that doesn't want to be there.

I think McFadden is as good as gone.
I dont think McFadden was 100% happy here only thing keeping him here was McLeish, so now we are relegated and no McLeish there is more chance of a Messi being happy to play for Blues (if we could afford him ) than Faddy staying.
We could force him to stay by taking up a option but come on £30K a week in Championship for a player who would be unhappy, uncommited and many times inconsistant.
Faddy is a certain to go.
A fear is that Ridgewell and Jerome may not be happy to stay either.
It may be best we sell them all off, allow even Ferguson to go to Villa or Scotland on a free if he wants.
We need to keep only players who will be 100% happy to stay and fight for promotion knowning we are not Garunteed it.
Sadly i think even players like Mutch and Redmond could be unsettled, thats why we need to get a Manager in ASP and one who is well respected and one who will bring more attacking play to our game so players like those will know they will get chances and allowed freedom to play the way they can and want.

So it's role model King leading the attack next season and showing the youth players how it's done. Poor kids, lock your girlfriends up now

Well as i said before, we should look at what King can do on the pitch.
I would also make Wolves SEB a big target for us.
Why because both players should get us about 20 goals next season each, they are proven goal scorers in the Championship who will get a goal every 2 odd games.
Well they could average 4 goals every 10 games or better.
I would also consider now McLeish has gone giving Derbyshire another shot, i am sure at this level he would do well.
Its not his fault McLeish would not give him enough chances and when he did his confidence was shot.
