Thistle had a great chance to open the scoring on the five-minute mark when Paul Macleod was caught in possession 30 yards from goal by David Ross. The number 8 did well to get the ball under control and fired in a powerful effort but his shot was straight at Nairn stopper Ally Ridgers.

Strathspey Thistle Football Club are a senior football club from Grantown-on-Spey in the Highlands of Scotland. They currently play in the Highland Football League, but played in the Scottish Junior Football pyramid from 1993. Strathspey Thistle were accepted into the Highland Football League on 25 February 2009, and entered the league at the start of the 2009–10 season. [1]
