I'm told by those in the know - well actually they're Tractor Boys - that the best pub for away fans is the Compleat Angler.
Is this true? Or is their strange Suffolk sense of humour leading me to an untimely death of a thousand verbal quips and assorted nastiness?
After the pub....the question of pies. I'm told that with the saintly Dame Delia of Smith at the helm Carrow Road serves up some of the best - if not the best - in the EPL. Beef in red wine gravy etc. True or false? Can't wait to sample some proper beer beforehand and a good pie afterwards.
PS: Can a chap smoke inside the ground? Life is too dull to be denied a gasper after a couple of pints of Adnams or whatever and a good pie.
PS: Good luck tomorrow. You'll need it................

from my days living there, the compleat is a very good pub and is almost opposite the train station, 5 minutes walk from the stadium. the road it is on, prince of wales road, is the main area for nightlife and is packed with pubs/clubs.
never tried delia's pies, so can't comment on them.

Zaphod - many thanks for that.
But - why does it take a Gooner to answer the question?
Is there any Norwich life on here?

Read the Tim Stillman column. Seems as though most travelling gooners are going to the Compleat Angler
