Good afternoon everyone.
I was wondering if anyone saw the interview on tv this week with Piers Morgan? Gazza looks as though he has got himself through it at last! He had some help down in Bournemouth and now coaches the children down there. It was very moving and he told all - a lot of it very funny. It made me think of those wonderful freekicks he used to take - what a player we had there! It was very funny when he said he had agreed to sign for Man Utd then Scholar phoned him and offered some incentives and he then signed for us while Sir Alex was on holiday! Apparently that was Sir Alex's biggest regret. What a terrible waste of football talent - but I am glad he is now on the right track and hope it continues. Good luck Gazza

Great footballer, however I thought he did not look as well as people think during that interview.
He has a lot of demons to deal with and I hope he beats them. Unfortunately something tells me that we will be reading about his antics again in a short while. I certainly hope I am wrong!

Gazza was the finest footballer of his generation, but for injuries he could have been the best ever.
He looked like someone who has `caned it` so to speak and the drugs and drink made him do some unforgivable things.
At least now (for the time being) he is sober and clean, lets hope he can beat his demons and recover fully.
I doubt his ex wife will be too affected by Gazza`s behaviour........ after all she is living a very comfortable life with most of Gazza`s money.

The stint on Frank Skinners' show was far better (obviously cos of Frank, both as a person and as a football fan - Piers Morgan = countryside !!! <StephenFry> ) .
You could see how choked up he was at having been dropped for France 98 (even 3-4 yrs after the event) .

Genius Greaves
I thought I was reading too much into it as nobody else mentioned it but I must agree, I thought he looked incredibly fragile, and dont think we've heard the last of this particular episode in his life
