and you can also press l1 when you pass the ball. the player that you passed the ball with will make a run as soon as the ball reaches the target

sorry, you have to press l1 at the same time as you press the pass button (so l1 and x for me on fifa). then the player you passed with will make a run

I dont have that problem with PES, but you can point the right stick to a player and click the stick in which will trigger him to make a run (like pressing LB/L1 on Fifa)
