Having grown up in Glasgow as a catholic an then living in England as a Scot, with an Irish wife, i've witnessed enough sectarian and racial abuse to last me a life time, but in my experience most people no matter what race, creed or colour will experience it in some form no matter how minor. So why do some find it more offensive than others?
Without excusing anything, had Ferdinand called Terry a white ....... would there be any debate?
