How bad have Liverpool been?

This is not a WUM.

I was surprised to see that Arsenal and Liverpool now have the same number of points and I'm wondering have Arsenal really been that bad? Have Liverpool been equally bad and nobody really noticed?

I honestly thought that Arsenal still had some catching up to do but seems they are in a good position to challenge for 4th.

I would not say Pool have been that bad. I would just say their pre-season hype has been about as unwarranted as Arsenal's pre-season doom and gloom that was thrown on us by the media.

Liverpool do not play at a fast enough tempo. None of the midfielders are getting beyond the forwards, and therefore they are not creating enough space to cut defences open.

Arsenal have played most of the top 6 away from home already (only Man City to go).
We also decided to give everyone a head start by not buying anyone until the last day of the transfer window.
Once things settled down we have been on a good run of wins against lesser sides (and Chelsea).

Liverpool expectations are low and people think they have done well this season while Arsenal expectations are higher and we think we havn't done good enough, even with a poor start we caught them up.

What is your point, you have only actually won at Chelsea, and nullified that result by losing at home to Liverpool, so what is your point.

Arsenal are in a good position for challenging for forth, in fact they are the team that others have to overtake, so I'm not sure why it is such a surprise. That had a bad start due to uncertainty over a few players leaving but they still have the ability to go out and beat smaller clubs. Liverpool are still struggling with that.

We have been dissapointing but bad is only a word you can use when a team gets beat 8-2. Or when a team leads 3 times at Blackburn and yet still get beat.

Arsenal football club will always be in the shadow of LFC

hedley bull,

the point is obvious. We don't have to go away to 5 of the 6 teams at the top of the table, as we have done it already.
Whats hard to understand about that?
