Poor Performance

A number of the players have to look at themselves in the morning and
ask did I do enough. That was easily our worst performance in the League
since Celtic last February. It is difficult to be over critical of a squad who on
the whole have performed well for the better part of three and a half seasons, despite the financial constraints.

21 wins and 4 draws is a magnificent effort and the players should rightly
be applauded but I think each and every player today could have done so
much more. The dropping of six points at home on top of the thirteen last
season is a concern. On our travels we rarely struggle when we get in front
we look in total control. At Ibrox against Aberdeen, Dundee U, Hibs and St.Mirren we were leading but seemed to be hanging on for FT.
Today we barely deserved a draw.

The upside of course is that we have established a position of strength which will allow for the odd lapse, next week but more importantly in the
next home game with Dunfermline we need to show that we have the
mental strength to ensure this is just a blip. We need to 'have a go' from the
off. Kilmarnock will be a good test after today, they can score but look
very dodgy at the back. Let's come out with the mentality we showed in
May and blow them away.

Even Barcelona's domination seems destined to come to an end at some point. Probably this is the end of our good form

Yeah, looks like the celts are hitting form now and they'll blow you out of the water.
Tough times ahead for u lot...

U9886, I don't think you've got the hang of this league table thingy.... the team at the top with a good few points of an advantage are the LEADERS, the team lying second and a good few points behind are usually the team that has the tough time ahead trying to catch up.

Yes but the good few points are getting less by the week !
wouldn't you say old chap..

Yes U9886, gap closed a little this week, however next week it could lengthen again who knows. We are in the driving seat at the moment so slightly less tough times ahead than Celtic wouldn't you say.

I had yesterday down as our first defeat so I'm glad to come away with the point. Losing Naismith is a blow but we can still win without him. Davis is the main man at Rangers without a doubt. More important that Jelavic, he is the engine room of the team so I would hate to see us lose him in January.

Yes we dropped points, but Celtic lost to them so they are no walkovers. Disappointing but not the end of the world.
