Or am I finding the race for 4th, a LOT more exciting than the race for the title?
Realistically, Man City are going to win this league, bar some sort of miracle, with IMO United the only ones to challenge them (when I say challenge I mean "challenge"). Yes, the league isn't won in the first 10 games, but City just look TOO strong. Even when they're not playing well as a team, they still have the individual talent to hammer most sides. That is the difference.
Think about it, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool, (Newcastle ), they are all vying for the 3rd and 4th places this season. These teams are going to have some intense battles in the coming months, and I have to say I really am looking forward to it.
It's a shame these teams can't all challenge for the title this season though. But hey, maybe next season.
IMO Tottenham look the strongest out of all 5 sides challenging for 3rd and 4th. Their first team is excellent, question marks can be raised over their depth, but you have to admit they are a quality side.
Next is Arsenal, but, of course, it all remains on RvP to remain fit. I have a funny feeling he's going to get injured at 00:00 on January 1st, in some sick karma twist for having such a good 2011 . If he does get injured I do think we can still beat most teams in this league, but it will take some investment in the Jan transfer window.
Sorry Chelsea, but I do believe Liverpool are stronger than you. Chelsea have been unconvincing ALL flipping season, I'm struggling to think of a premier league game where they have looked comfortable for the majority of the 90 minutes (tbf, I haven't watched many matches of yours this season though ). They have a decent attack, but their defending at the moment is suicidal to say the least (yes, coming from a Gunner!), and their manager, despite all the hype, is simply too inexperienced to deal with the rigours of this league. Hiddink is available, snap him up now, because let's face it, unless a sudden upsurge in form (which I can't see happening unless AVB changes tactics), he's going to get the sack. Ferguson changed his tactics after the 6-1, time for AVB to step up and do the same.
So that's what i think will happen this season:
1) Money City
2) Man U
3) Tottenham
4) Arsenal
5) Liverpool
6) Chelsea
if everything stays the same.
Exciting times ahead

Probably neither as he past before I was born, I'll ask my mum.

with all due respect decspur, i think you are being a little bit insensitive to the arsenal posters' feelings with your personal attacks.

tbh, it doesn't matter if adebayor is on a goalless streak. What tottenham needed last season was someone to just keep it simple up front, know how long to keep the ball, know when to pass, when to shoot. Ade, on his worst day, offers all these things (except maybe the shooting part). I watched a lot of tottenham last season, and trust me, the difference is already there. he is miles better than defoe, even though defoe probably has more goals. With someone like this upfront, the quality behind them (luka, vdv, etc) will find it easier to score goals.
FFS, I really hate bigging spurs up, but it's all i can conclude so far, on the evidence of this season. I hope i'm wrong, i really do, and you all can slap me in the face if i am. O course spurs can 4uck up, they probably will, but we'll have to find that out later.

it's only fair if we beat spurs at the emirates seeing as they beat us at the lane.

Ok, ok sorry if I'm upsetting some of you, its not my intention.
Some of the comments do seem more hopefull rather than factual, on the other hand there are lots of realistic balanced comments. Of course every one expects us to have our usual bad period. But right now it looks good having played 6 away games and only 4 home games.

the problem with this board is that i've yet to witness a level headed, unbiased, non wum spurs fan. you were that guy for me... all the way up until you called a fellow arsenal fan a joke. it's a shame.

Sorry you see it that way....one thing I am not is a wum. I will though react to comments posted with no substance just because someone doesnt like my team.
