The Very Pakistani way to win!

Winning it the Pakistani way has its own pleasure and taste. Sometimes I hate my team’s unpredictability but most of the times I love it as they swing the most hopeless of the matches in their favour.

Yesterday’s 9 wickets for 19 runs was a prime example. Great match with a great result! Shahid Afridi again proves to be the gem he is, I am pretty confident that people end up writing articles bashing him is the result of utter jealousy. And they have a good reason for it, they really miss a player of Afridi’s caliber in their line up.

Fantastic Effort from the men in green, cheers to all fellow fans!

I'm afraid it's going to be a long while before I enjoy watching Pakistan win - lose - draw.....the disgraceful off field behaviour over the last 2-3 years will take some forgetting...
Obviously the people of Pakistan won't take as long as the rest of the cricketing public to forgive & forget but don't ask us to just yet.....

Winnings isnt it wiered seeing us spin dependant to win games late on now. Back in the days is was Imran, Wasim, Waqar and Shoaib who would produce a magic spell late to win a game but now its over to Afridi and Ajmal.

I cannot argue with what you have said, some serious ill-acts have been committed by some Pakistanis, personally I would take longer then non Pakistani cricket fans to forgive them. For you guys they have tainted the image of the sport but for me they have tainted the image of the country as well, its because of the act of those three and (might be) some others that we Pakistani fans have to counter such ‘rightful’ comments. It will take a lot more from us to forgive them for their acts.
But, what I cannot do is I cannot generalize that for the whole team. The others who play fairly and give in their best cannot be labeled as the same and deserve the cheer and applaud for the performance they have been giving for past few months.

Kash,

you are right brother, don't you think it was somewhat the similar case in WC as well, a lot of our victories accounted to Afridi's bowling alone. May be it has something to do with the pitches in sub-continent. Besides we have some good fast bowlers not playing. Gul has not been able to complete his quota in one single match this series. Also we have Wahab and Junaid sitting in the bench, so this makes our bowling attack even more lethal when spinners have made it the routine to rip apart the opposition

Winnings I think we can forget Wahab now cos he has been dropped from the Bangladesh tour for Talha. Wahab has clearly been dropped due to his links with the spot fixing trial and perhaps another example of PCB cleaning their act. Junaid is a good option to have and should get a chance next game but Gul has been ecomonical without looking like he is going to get a wicket.

we all do feel for him southsydney and you have mentioned this while me and kash are discussing that we are somewhat missing a component in our fast bowling department. He could have done wonders for Pakistan cricket.

I've forgiven Amir tbh, wasn't too hard

Asif doesn't deserve to be forgiven.

Butt..well he could've been useful but I'm not bothered about his ban, no sympathy
