Spurs are looking good

hate to say it but the potatoes are really looking good at the mo. I just hope they are going to slip up somewhere down the line. Adebayor has just bagged a brace.

Spurs should have destroyed a team with the attitude Villa turned up with. They have a lot of the big teams to face, and if they play like this then they will get destroyed. Far too much respect was shown to Spurs.

QPR, a team that just came up where also 2 down to Spurs and they brought on a forward in the 2nd half and made a game of it. Unlike the disgrace that is Aston Villa.

"Like I said, their manager is a gutless mug."

Spot on. I really want to kick Chesney right now. His mistake lost us a game we dominated. That somehow has got Spurs a reputation that they are a good team. They are extremely poor defensively. They are as poor as we USED to be but no one challenges them. Fulham also played scared until they went behind and then even Spurs management admitted they were lucky to get a result. They are all hype.

This is why teams need to make statements by signings etc. Some managers are so influenced by the media that they turn up to games set up not to be beaten too badly!

spurs have a very good midfield that can dominate the game if they are given enough time and space on the ball. the defence is fairly average and their attack... well defoe is way too inconsistent as is adebeyor.

they get most of their goals from midfield - but if they are pressed well enough they are not as dangerous as their reputation suggests.

dont recall thelast time i watched a spurs game in such a relaxed fashion. Seemed villa decided to give up after the 2nd minute. Apparently we have an easy run coming up now. LOL, catch us if you can chav5cum / ar5ehell

I know it's been a long time and in most of your lifetimes you've not known a Spurs team be better than an Arsenal team but right now you have to accept it if you're honest and knowledgeable of football. You also have to accept that it's inevitable that RVP will injure himself if he has to carry the rest of the team any longer.

My honest opinion of Spurs v Arsenal XI (as an arsenal fan)
SZCZ v Friedal - SZCZ (nothing in it really so SZCZ takes it on age)
Sagna v Walker - Sagna
King v Mert/Kos - King (although fittness very dubious)
Verm v Gallas/Kaboul - Verm
AE v Gibbs/Santos - AE (though Gibbs could surpass)
Parker v Song - Even
Walcott v Lennon - Walcott
Modric v Wilshere - Even
VDV v Ramsey/Arteta - VDV
Bale v Gervinhio - Bale
Ade v RVP - RVP

Arsenal = 7
Spurs = 6

So essentially both teams are pretty similar, couple this with the fact that this is spurs' best team in years, and that Arsenal have lost 2 of their best players..and it tells you enough!

In the immortal words of Hommer Simpson...

"Close...but you're way off!"
