What a completely shocking display by Villa tonight.
The team was incredibly negative, with six defenders plus the lumbering, ineffective Heskey in the team yet again.McLeish bemoaned the fact that we didn't keep the ball yet he refuses to play anyone who is actually comfortable on the bvall and can do things on the ball. No Delph. no Bannan, no N'Zogbia, no Albrighton, even bloomin Ireland nowhere to be seen. No composure on the ball, everyone behind the ball and our only 'weapon' being the hopeful hoof upfiel

Still we only have home wins against Wigan, Blackburn and Norwich to shout about. With TEN games left (out of 26) against the top 6 we are in huge trouble. Can anyone see Villa getting more than 4 points from those 10 games? No way. That takes us to 19 points. If we pick up points against the other teams at the same rate as we have so far, that's another 20 points.
Total = 39 points.
Say no more.

It's terrible to say but maybe the answer for Villa as has happened before is that relegation would 'clean the system out'.

I made it 41 and we are 2 points ahead of where I thought we would be now (just incase it does not come across, the next part is totally sarcastic).
So its all positive. We have not become the joke of the premiership and I have total faith in Alex and the boys to turn things round.

I was really worried about this one, Villa are a really good team with pace, and power throughout! and with Darren Bent you always have a chance!
Hutton was terrible, really poor.. You will turn it around, 7th place should be yours, but he has to learn to attack teams away from home! or you will get beaten like tonight

Have not wrote on the board for a while, however after watching last nights utter embarrasment of a performance i felt compelled to write.
We were terrible last night, no game plan, furthest man upfield on numerous occasions was Alan Hutton (says it all), just hoofing the ball upfield waiting for Spurs to launch another attack.
Can't see where our next point is coming from over the next few games, and i believe Swansea will do us over on Sunday.
Thank goodness for Wigan & Blackburn, but dont forget there is still amother relegation place to be filled.
If there worst did happen (i'm "fairly" hopeful that it won't), it may well be a good opportunity to "clean the system" out as the previous contributor stated, Regroup under the reign of KMac & Sid Cowans and start again.
I have been mainly positive with McLeish, but I am being worn down by points being thrown away and us looking so poor defensively.
