Players from the North- has it benefited us

Back to that old chestnut of the ROI selecting players born in the 6 counties.

From a playing perspective i can understand why the IFA and their supporters are opposed to this so called "poaching" but when you look at the players who have declared for us none of them are actually considered good enough to actually play for us by Trapatonni and Tardelli.

Ok, maybe Paul George at Celtic and Shane Duffy might be in the future but as things stand players like Wilson,Gibson and Daniel Kearns especially probably won't even get any game time at the Euro Finals next June .

Wilson appeared to have forced his way into the side for a while but i think our current back 4 of O'Shea, Dunne,St Ledger and Ward are performing too well for him to have a chance of stepping up and becoming a regular.

Gibson too is doing himself no favours by remaining on as a reserve team player at Man Utd. Now that he is making a comeback from injury he may be snapped up by another Premiership side in the January transfer window.
