HARRY AND ENGLAND

Good evening all.
Now McClaren has come out and said Harry for England! Why on earth would Harry take the job? He loves coming to Spurs everyday for training and meeting the lads - that's what he likes doing - being in contact with the players. It would not suit him watching matches and hardly being in contact with the England team. It strikes me that he has to be involved on a daily basis with the team. After all, he does travel to and from Bournemouth every day by car!

Can't quite see him turning down the cushtiest job in football for one last juicy payday - basically £12m to qualify for a finals every 2 years in groups with 1/2 'tricky' opponents, that shouldn't really be tough considering the resources on hand.

England job is basically a part time position.

Spend most of the season watching EPL games and spend a few weeks of the year training with the players and playing.

Pay is probably on a par with what he gets now.

No more getting up at 5am and driving to Spurs Mon-Fri.

Easy money for Harry. Suits him down to the ground. Nice top up on his pention.

All depends on his attitude towards his career. He is early.mid 60's. perhaps he fancies a couple Eng campaigns over 4 years and then enjoy retirement...then again [erhaps he wants to work till he drops like Sir Alex, in which case his career could be over quickly if he fails with England.

The next England coach needs to usher out the old guard, but I'm not too sure Harry would do so considering one of them is his nephew. The 'golden generation' are probably looking at one last WC in Brazil to see out their international careers, and who could blame them!!! Will he bring the likes of Crouch and Defoe back in? J Cole?

Harry's fate will be decided in January.

If he's found not guilty then I'm sure he will become England's next manager after Euro 2012. If found guilty then subject to whether its +/- HMP he'll remain either as Spurs' manager or the dole once he's released.
