Last season.....

I voiced concerns about relegation yet, it was always with a sense of hope. GH was a proven premier league manager and you could see what he was trying to achieve.
I know there were issues with players that didnt like him and since his departure some have come out and said they would have considered leaving if he had stayed. Dunne being one, Gabby another and maybe Collins. I can't speculate as to thier reasons for this however, whilst they had average (at best) seasons last time; players like Young and Downing were exceptional. Probably thier best ever for us (SD in particular) Why?! Was GH more suited to players with technical ability over those with braun?
This season I am voicing concerns about relegation again. This time though its without a sense of hope. Why? Because AM is useless with everyone!

Who is up for a protest! If we dont do something soon, it will be too late. If its going to be done, it needs to be next home game, not on a working weekday like when RL was interviewing him. That turnout did nothing to convince him otherwise.
It may be radical action. Its necessary action and if this manager (in the losest sense of the word) does not go; we will. All the way to the championship; most likely crossing paths with our neighbours.

On a side note. I can't believe we paid BCFC compensation for this guy. No wonder the bluenoses are laughing. I am!

McLeish out! Now!

As a Blues fan I completely empathise. You are in a poor predicament.

The huge problem you have now is that you are 8th. This is a problem for several reasons. Firstly, McLeish can legitimately argue that you're 8th in the table having used limited transfer fee's, something Lerner would probably be happy with despite being only 1 point above 17th.

The second problem is that the ignorant media, especially Lawrenson and Hansen, will see it that way too. As good as Hansen (not Lawro) can be at match analysis, they have no idea about the current circumstances of most clubs. Any protest now would fall on deaf, completely ignorant ears I'm afraid.

The bed sheets are on sale at the villa club shop 2-4-1, perfect for all the protests!

what did you expect if you hired a manager who just took a team down?

what was the villa board playing at?

We 'expected' it.. Well, the majority did at least.
I honestly dont know what the board were thinking!
If they were thinking AM could move us forward; then its clear they just have no clue and look at CV's as opposed to the level and standard of competition previously competed in.

According to Wikipedia, McLeish's win rate is a mere 28%. This is unbelievably poor considering the standard of opposition Villa have faced so far this season, Spurs and City being the only games against top six opposition.

Even Houllier, who many Villa fans wanted sacked at one point and who was often booed (in my opinion slightly unfairly), managed a 35% win rate despite having an injury crisis which was Villa's biggest in years and also for trying to turn Villa into a passing team which was obviously going to affect results somewhat.

So why does Houllier get such harsh treatment and McLeish gets nothing?

Villa fans need to realise that the only way Lerner's hand will be forced is if they make it absolutely clear that McLeish is not wanted.

Out of all the managers from the past, I genuinely believe McLeish is the worst. Even O'Leary and Taylor are a class above this idiot.

As stated above - we all expected things to turn out this way; so why didnt the board see it too, moreso - who will they appoint next?

I think that after our tough run over the next few games; fans will start protesting, I cant see us getting any points over the next few games (other than a point this coming weekend)
