In my opinion Mata is far too isolated on the wide left and doesn't receive the ball enough. He needs to be playing in a 4231 in behind the main striker. For that I think we need a class wide player. I know we have been linked with De Bruyne recently and although he is very good and I wouldn't mind him I have two problems with him. As he is young he may not get a lot of game time regardless of how good he is, look at Lukaku. Secondly we need a bit more quality even though we may have to spend big. Someone like Hazard or even Pato would work, although the price tag would be very hight.

Problem today is he wad fixed out-wide, while in a 4-3-3 he is allowed to drift. Even de Bruyne would be nice in January and then if he doesn't do well go for a big name in summer

The midfield is slow & ponderous. Torres needs a Fabregas type midfielder. At liverpool he had Alonso & Gerrard supplying him. Man U change from 433 to 442 we need bodies in midfield cause Lampard & Malouda are too slow.
Our scouting system should be identifying players who are 20 - 24 who are at 2nd tier clubs, Young, Modric, Subotic, Goetze, bale before they become £20 million players.
