Diaby

Nice to see him back on the pitch, just hope he can stay fit and reach his level, he must be really frustrated with the injuries. Ramsey came back with worse so here's hoping.

When all fit and on top form we have a very formidable midfield with lots of different options

We still need a little something in attack. Gervinho is having problems adjusting to the quantity of football and Arshavin is not doing his bit.

So we are in desperate need for a Gotze, Hazard etc. It was clearly evident yesterday.

I think Arsene will play Diaby behind RVP. That will add a new dimension. Diaby's mistakes occur when he plays deeper and loses concentration/positioning.

In this new direct style of play Arsenal Diaby could really flourish

I think so too. Anyway he's back and we can only welcome that, it gives options when the games will come thick and fast now that we have qualified for CL knock out stages. He can replace Arteta, Ramsey and Song if required. At 25 it's his big chance to get his career where we thought it should be.

Absolutely. If there was ever a perfect time for Diaby to show his worth it's now.

It's frustrating for me to watch him make strides only to be sidelined for months at a time so it must be absolutely mind bending for him not to maintain an injury free run. If he maintains fitness from here on in he can still become the amazing player I always thought he could be.

In this new direct style of play Arsenal Diaby could really flourish. He has shown glimpses in the past but to be honest he just looked out of place most of the time when we were a possession based football team. Lets just hope he can stay fit, if he doesn't then I think this season will be his last as an Arsenal player which would be a shame!

All he needs is that 1 injury free few months so he can kick on.

Same with RVP and luckily he has been injured for some time.

Once his body gets used to playing every week for a few months he should get over these niggles.

I don't know if this has anything to do with his current problems but he had an injury as bad as Ramsey's. Remember his foot almost being taken off against Sunderland several years ago?

It's was one of the most shocking tackles I've ever seen. I don't know who do it, just some thug who's now disappeared somewhere into very low level football. Search it on youtube if you have the stomach for it.

He's a real enigma, one of the most frustrating players to watch. He can have a sterling game and the next match you question he's the same player. I think it's fair to say injuries really have not done him any favours, but his biggest downfall is that he's consistantly inconsistant!

But in footballing circles Diaby is very highly thought of. Obviously by Wenger and the French coach's, Mourinho is also allegedly a big fan...

The guy's name was Dan Smith. A nobody at the time who is even less of a 'body' now. I think it was in a game where we wonn 6-0 or something and we were well ahead at the time so he was clearly just annoyed and looking to take it out on someone. It was basically an assault. Gutless pr*ck.

Yeah that's the one. Truth is Diaby's injury was as bad as Ramsay's and Eduardo's, it may well have a lot to do with his constant string of minor (somewhat) injuries. He's got the talent so I really hope he gets over these problems!
