Wishful thinking!

I'm really disappointed with the results in the last couple of weeks, but i wouldn't go far in saying I didn't expect it, I think all the fans calling for AVB's head are wrong, this year the team is not as strong as in previous years, a new system is being integrated into the club, and the core of the team is no longer up for the task... a period of transition is happening at the club, it happened to Man Utd 4-5 years ago, it happened to Arsenal and still is ! yet their managers stayed put.

I mean you don't really think anyone expected us to win the CL? yes for sure we are expected to top the group, but dont you think our group is harder than that of Man utd? how come no one is calling for SAF's head? you will they because Man UTD are doing well in the league? yes they are winning, but they also lost 6-1 at home to their rivals!

My point is, a top 3-4 finish with a round 16 or quarterfinals in the CL is what we realistically should aim for, get 3 players in in January and build for next year, great teams are not built over night, we won the EPL 3 times in the last 7 years which is great, its time to build for the future
