Two rumours doing the rounds this evening.
One is that Owen and BWFC have parted ways, that it was to be announced today, but the Gary Speed news has delayed the announcement. Betting on 'next PL manager to be sacked' has been suspended this evening, so it looks like someone has gone.
The other that Gary Speed topped himself as he was about to be 'outed' by a leading tabloid newspaper regarding his sexuality.
I dearly hope neither of these rumours are true.
Coyle gone? Was Speedo about to be outed?

I think we'll just have to agree to disagree, Madnotlobian. I don't think unfounded (ie not known to be true rather than proven untrue) rumours are automatically malicious. I would also like to clarify that the only malicious thoughts I have on the subject are towards our gutter press. Can you imagine the scandal if it transpires that the press drove Gary to hang himself?

I don't question your good intentions for a minute, largehat and agree to disagree, if you know what i mean.

I think there's a difference between the BBC reporting that 'Sporting Chance clinic receives 10 calls after Gary Speed's death', and the Daily Star's 'SPEED: FIVE MORE FOOTIE PLAYERS ON BRINK'.

When you examine the semantics of the Daily Star headline, it's hideous.
