I don't know if any of you listen to the monday night club on 5 live. John Barnes was on last night and make a good point about managers under pressure.
He used the examples of Bruce who is getting alot of stick and our own Steve Kean. He said that at Sunderland and Rovers, the manager and players are pulling in the same direction, but the fans aren't.
He then asked us to compare this to Martinez at Wigan. As someone who sat amongst the Wigan fans last week, I can vouch for the support their fans continue to give Martinez. No moaning 'Martinez out.' They got behind the team. Our fans didn't give this support and guess what, the game was drawn. The dissent shown towards Kean didn't get us 3 points and make us any better off than wigan.
Barnes thinks there is something in the theory that if everyone - players, supporters, manager is pulling in the same direction, this is likely to have an effect on the results. Just go back this up, guess who has just gone above us in the table...Wigan. Maybe Barnes is right.

RK, "Get thee to a traffordery" You are obviously a plastic as you live the average distance of a Man United fan does from Old Trafford.

You've got to hold and give but do it at the right time

"Your bulldozing of threads is comical.
It was a good performance DESPITE the protests IMO.
jog on."
Bulldozing?
You mean I point out your total stupidity?
If that was a good performance despite the protest then surely it renders your opening post invalid!
Our only win came on the day fans marched to the ground demonstrating against Kean!

Who knows where we may have had 1 or 2 more results at home (spurs, chelsea anyone?) without protest.
Under the circumstances the team did well against arsenal. thats all i'm saying

And I'm merely pointing out that it defies the logic of the point raised...

Actually, we were pretty abysmal in that game too, extremely lucky to get away with what we did against a shambolic Arsenal side.
