I find Martin Taylor's comments yesterday about the management of Derby County being happy with the season so far, absolutely crazy.
Is he trying to wind us all up ?
How can they possibly be happy with winning one game in 11, winning 1 game at home in 2 months, no clean sheet since August, scoring 11 goals in 10 matches and not winning away since 17th Sept.
What will the management feel when we're in the bottom 3 ? Delirious ?
Why are they interviewing MT anyway ? He's the goalkeeping coach and should remain very much in the background.
Clough is the only one I want to hear from and I don't want pathetic excuses anymore. Comments like 'We're not getting the rub of the green' really get my goat. You make your own luck if you're a good enough side.
I am not at all happy at the moment and I'd rather Derby staff would just keep quiet than come out with such stupid nonsense.
'Happy' with the season so far.

I'm with Nick/Iwaslevel.
We're in a rotten spell, but we have to try and get out of it by playing ourselves into some form and it seems we could call ourselves unlucky last night, one moment of class vis Steve Davies' finish against Watford. This happens in a tight league.
I do agree with some comments though regarding substitutions. I'm not sure Bennett should be ahead of Maguire, definitely not in terms of experience.

Iwas,
God knows I have tried and I am trying to be positive. I don't mean to appear non - supportive.
It's just the same excuses, the same reaction from the Management, the same slump in form as last season, injuries all over the place etc. It's becoming increasingly tiresome.
Was Bennett able to play last night because his teachers were on strike today ?
Sorry, but there is no way he should be in the team ahead of seasoned professionals. If he was scoring every week, that's different, but he isn't.

Don't get me wrong AJ, I know where you're coming from and I said the same thing about Bennett last night. He is typical of Derby at the moment, there are glimpses of the good times ahead but then such basic mistakes time and time again.
If your peed off and listen to the interviews you will take them the wrong way. I don't believe for one minute that any of our management (with the exception of GSE) are happy with our position and are not striving to improve it every day.

Now that rings a bell.

Bob,
I think there's a problem with Maguire, I wouldn't be surprised if he's back north of the border in the new year.

Jorvik,
I saw you mention his 'attitude' in another post. Worrying. It may be that the manager needs to throw the gauntlet down at Maguire.

Failing that bob, I find hachets tend to do the trick.

From what I've been told the gauntlet has been thrown! He's a bit of a noisey moaner. I was impressed by his tenacity at Boro though.
