after admitting that 2 wins in 13 games is not good enough.
It isnt. Good on him for a very honourable and honest assessment.
Any chance he could have a chat with AM? We have only won 3 times this season in the league.
Do the honourable thing Alex. Go! Now!
Steve has set the president.

Wonder who will get Bruce's job. Maybe their prime need is for someone who "will keep them in the PL on limited resources". What would RL ask in way of compensation for letting them have you-know-who? Dreams, dreams...
They might go for O'Neill. Depends if they can offer him enough in the way of resources.

Good point. Would be great if McLeish was influenced by this and decided to resign. Maybe after being spanked by United he'll be forced to.
Looks like Hughes is favourite. I personally felt Hughes should have been at Villa and I'd be very angry if Sunderland get him. I still think that if McLeish is sacked/forced to resign in January, Hughes must be favourite. Would take the job in an instance and most likely get players like ireland, N'Zog, Albrighton, possibly even Delph performing. And we'd pass the ball much better under Hughes. Under our clown of a manager now, our passing has never been worse.

O'Neill is currently the bookies favourite, the whisper (BBC) is that Hughes is in the lead. I agree. Give it to O'Neill and leave Hughes for us. I think that would actually suit both clubs best. O'Neill would be good at livening up the existing squad at Sunderland pending further investment, Hughes would do a good job with the existing varied resources at Villa.

Latest BBC whisper; O'Neill is now in line for the job. Yes! Hughes deserves a better club. Us!
The only reservation I would have about Hughes is that he likes to bring his own circus with him; not sure where that would leave our great long-serving back-room staff. But then McLeish effectively brought his own circus with him (the clowns?) to an extent I thought was surprising. Both O'Neill and Houllier were quite sparse in who they brought it, effectively just two in each case.
