Jimmy Kebe leaving Reading

I personally rate Jimmy Kebe very highly and feel that a bid in January would be a excellent addition to the front line ?

Pace, Pace and more Pace.

Inconsistent and ageing though.

He's been poor this season for them.

I'd rather Nigel take a punt on a young winger. He picked up some good youths when we were in League one.

That's true Emilio, one of Pearson's greatest strengths was to identify raw talent

I like Kebe - perhaps he needs a fresh challenge to regain his form. You know yourself if you get bored doing the same thing year after year you become stale and need a new challenge to regain your motivation.

Emilio - he's 27 not 37!
All I know is he ripped us apart last year.
In Nigel (and in this context Steve Walsh) we trust.

Incidentally, apparently we're interested in Rangers' striker Jelavic again: http://www.rangers.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=526633

Id like us to sign Zaha from Palace. Very good player, from Ivory Coast so maybe big Sol Bamba could put in a good word

It will be interesting to see how NP operates in the transfer market this time around. Last time around he and/or Steve Walsh, did a good job at picking up value for money signings. They were also excellent at playing the loan market.

Contrast this with Sven, who identified many signings and just tried to outbid everyone else to secure their signature. He played the loan market as well, but sometimes seemed obsessed with picking the loan players to the apparent detriment of the squad.

I can’t help thinking that Nigel might not have to be as extravagant as Sven in the transfer market to achieve better results. That is, of course, slightly dependant upon whether his previous pragmatism was borne out of necessity and with the cash to splash he might just go in with a £8m bid for Jelavic – but I can’t see it myself.
