Some Headlines:

First:
Tindall fine reduced to 15k from 25k AND!!! He has been reinstated to the Elite Squad... What a joke. If he is Elite then I'm the hotel maid he was groping.

Second: Your not going to believe this! -> New RFU role for Andrew
-------------
Rob Andrew is to be appointed as the Rugby Football Union's professional rugby director following today's meeting of the Professional Game Board.

Andrew's position as elite director of rugby had been the subject of speculation since the team's dismal World Cup campaign, and he twice stated that he would not be resigning.

His new role will not involve direct contact with the senior national team but he will have responsibility for other representative teams and the relationship with Premiership Rugby.

Holy hell on wheels! This guy has nine bloody lives!

Third: McGeechan in the frame for 2013 Lions.
------------
Tour manager Andy Irvine believes British and Irish Lions coaching legend Ian McGeechan is "an option" to take charge of the 2013 tour in Australia.

Lions bosses are set to reveal the head coach's identity next April or May.

Ireland coach Declan Kidney, and Wales and Scotland coaches Warren Gatland and Andy Robinson are also likely to be in contention

Tindall is a good old fashioned bruiser, no fancy pretty stuff from him just run at em hard and fast(ish), whilst he's certainly no O'Driscoll he allows England the opportunity (should they choose to use it) to bring in the flair from the likes of Cueto, Ashton, Foden etc.

He's not to everyones taste, but its worth noting how well or poorly England play with and without him. A lot has been said about the World Cup exploits but I'm not really that bothered by that, as I think Tindall does offer a bit of on field leadership to what is quite a young side - selecting a new captain is going to be an issue for England over the next few years and I can see Tindall filling that roll whilst others develop and a new coach chooses who to fulfil the roll.

Finally, as an Irishman you must surely relish the possibility of Tindall captaining England at Lansdowne Rd? With Michael D. Higgins as President and Tindall's dwarf tossing there's surely the mother of all "incidents" brewing - it would make Martin Johnson forcing President McAleese to get her high heels stuck in six yards of grass seem as nothing ....

Well you know i cant argue with the point of the team being young nd needing an old head to steady the ship so fair enough, however i would also point out that he's done a bang up job so far... really leading by example.

As an Irish man all i can comment on is that to us, england are along with scotland and italy as 'should wins'
