We will win the Premier League

Good afternoon to you all. I would like to share my thoughts on us [City] winning the Premier League this season. And also gather the majority of your informed opinion on the matter.

After our performance against Liverpool, I must admit we are on the verge of winning the Premier League this year, it's simply inevitable to be frank.

When Mancini was appointed he straightforwardly instructed to transform our previous mid-table team into Champions League contenders which he has done, he was also given vast funds to spend on supplemental players. To his credit he has certainly fulfilled that.

Though, a year ago the vast majority of football supporters proclaimed that for all the world-class talent we purchased, one thing we lacked was unity. Well, I do not think anyone can make such accusation now nor any time soon. Not after the way we toughed it out against Liverpool leaving them only a point and our unbeaten record intact.

If I remember rightly, trouble-maker Balotelli was the only player to always occasionally let us down, however with or without him posses our set of players on the pitch are determined and dedicated.

All the credit to Hart, who is the best keeper in the Premier at the moment. Nowadays keepers are key players who win you games. Strikers can win you games, but the man between the sticks saves plenty, too. In my opinion, you simply cannot win a trophy with an average keeper.

If you look back at the great Arsenal side, they had David Seaman between their sticks. Manchester United had Peter Schmeichel between theirs. I reckon Hart is on the verge of joining them. It angers me to have to listen posters to that say England have a goalkeeping crisis, when we have Hart who is certainly the real deal.

To conclude this; it's very hard to see any other outcome right now but us [City] winning the Champions League and Premier League this season.

Why we are going to win: We have the best goal-keeper, forwards who are scoring goals for fun, a midfield which can stand along any in England, and most importantly the best manager in England.

City all the way for me. If they buy the title, it is only what Man United (broken the British record transfer fee 5 times in the past 20 years), and Chelsea with the Russian have been doing for years now.

"They think they have a god given right to try and buy every single title"

I think you'll find the only people who think we think we've a god given right are all supporters of clubs in north London...

I wouldnt go as far to say Mancini is the best manager in England, he only has an FA Cup to his name at the moment and to be fair to the critics it is innevitable we would win at least a trophy with the money we have spent, Mancini's task is to bring us sustained success and if he does that then he can be classed up there with the great managers, because with sustained success it doesn't matter how much money you spend, its about keeping all those big money players motivated and rotating the team to keep them all fresh so that each week they go out and win. At this moment in time Mancini deserves credit for spotting the players City want and then gelling them into a team. It hasnt simply been buy any player he can get hold of and throw them on a pitch, any football fan that thinks that really doesnt know much about football. City's squad has almost got everything now to be a great side for many years, I expect Mancini to buy a winger in Jan as well as another CB, after that I think we are pretty much set, but the money for these players will come from the sale of other players.

Its to early to say we will win the league, as anything can happen over a season, what if Silva picked up a serious injury? At this moment in time City look the most convincing side in the league, however a couple of losses and it might give United or any other side up there the impetus. I am hoping that we will be top by the New Year because then we will have all the top sides to play at home apart from Arsenal, and I fancy our chances against any team at home

hedley bull - but United earned it and how did United but titles in the 90's????? Last time I looked, they won the lot with home grown talent that cost nowt, then they added big money signing on money earned, not a sugar daddy but to be honest I have no problem with what City or doing and if they win it, so be it! Just laugh my **** when the bloke goes and leaves City up the swanny, and it will happen!

No true fan of any team would come out with an article like this, to do it at this stage of the season is annoying and down right laughable (even more so if you had been supporting us for any length of time).

What I find really disappointing is that you help justify accusations that City fans are becoming arrogant, so when our inevitable 'blip' comes along, as it undoubtedly will, it will leave us "all" open to abuse.

Really? So what's he going to do with that forty odd acres of brownfield land he's just bought? Knock down whatever he builds on it?

Nah, this "he'll get bored and move on" thing is just wishful thinking. And even if it does happen, well, at least we've had a bit of fun.
