Lucas Leiva Hi ALL.Just to confirm that I will be out until the rest of season. I am really sad with the news because I was enjoying a lot on the pitch.
@LucasLeiva87
Lucas Leiva I am sure I will come back stronger and I will achieve everything that I dream with the LFC shirt.

He is becoming a bit of a legend. Cant believe all the stick he got at first.
How things can change

I know it's unbelievable tbh.
He'll get so much support though which I'm relieved about - Suarez alone tweeted to him not long after the incident to stay strong and all the squad are behind him - I feel we have great spirit at the moment!
& really, considering where he's come in his LFC career, if anyone can make it back EVEN strong, it's Mr Leiva

Reading some of the comments, one could be forgiven for thinking that Lucas was dead!! Alternatively, that he will never come back. Please cheer up fellow Reds, he'll be back. JimmyTheRed

Jimmy I know what you mean but an injury like that can never be underestimated - imagine the disappointment - it can very easily drive footballers very low but he has all the support to make excellent recovery
Glad you're still signing off after yesterdays outrage btw

Cheers Lucas, and you make a very valid point. The degree of recovery is too unpredictable, any suggestion is as good as a wild guess. In support of my view, I would say this: just look at the fitness level of the squad, when compared to recent years. It cannot have gone un-noticed that everyone was and is raving about Lucas' improvement as a player. That hasn't come about by chance. I would suggest that he has improved, physical fitness-wise as a player, and that bodes well for his recovery. In addition, he's not a Gaza type player; he looks after himself. Maybe its naive of me to suggest, but, I fancy his chances of a full recovery. In the meantime, Kenny will earn his corn by overcoming this situation. JimmyTheRed

All I know is that lucas will surely be missed as he has been an outstanding player these last two years for us, but the club is a family and we will give him all the time in the world to get back and grace us with his skills again.
We have enough to cover, some have mentioned Kelly at DM, not a bad shout for a game or two or even Hendo back there, he doesn't seem comfy on the right so why not give him the chance to show his ability too.
KK will do the right thing.
This is not or season over, it is just an unfortunate blip.

i'm gutted i was going to do the same but someone's already bought the top with Suarez on it might have to get the 3rd kit to have Lucas 21 on it!
