If you look back to that horrible start to the season we were expected to lose games and when we did everyone but us were overjoyed but since then we have come back put a run together and looking not half bad, now the press remain silent on us and they have moved to Chelsea’s new crisis, typical.
I am now going to review some of our games and show my opinion – it’s a good insight I promise:
• Newcastle 0-0 Arsenal – Now come on we were never going to win this, I was disappointed with the result, but looking back it isn’t a bad point. Also if Gervinho had remained on the pitch we would have produced a break through. This game set up our dismal start with both Song and Gerv banned for the next three games!
• Arsenal 1-0 Udinese – we won, I didn’t manage to catch it but we won YAY.
• Arsenal 0-2 Liverpool – the lucky f___ers! Frimpong was booked for nothing and I honestly believe he was unlucky to be sent off. We had two debutants starting in Jenkinson and Frimpong, Miquel forced on 15 minutes in thanks to Koscielny’s back spasm. We dominate then they score their luckiest goal since every goal on their champions league win in 2005, turns out they were offside in the build up! The second goal was also offside. So how can Liverpool claim they are better than us on that evidence?
• Udinese 1-2 Arsenal – Great performance Gerv and Theo promised, I thought our season would start here…
• Man U *score line lost in archive* Arsenal – Horrible, horrible. Though if Song and Gerv both started and Van Persie had of scored that pen then may have been a different day. But good in the sense that we were triggered into buying several new faces, Arteta really stabling our midfield were Mertashaker the man for set-piece teams that is all.
• Arsenal 1-0 Swansea – We won ugly, brilliant.
• Blackburn 4-3 Arsenal – We should of won, ridicules defending.
• Arsenal 3-1 Shrews – not first team
• Arsenal 3-0 Bolton – Better!

Djourou and Walcott really starting to shore up that right-hand side, I have forgotten Sagna tbh but look forward to having him back!
This season we also seem alot more ruthless infront of goal which is so much better than last years 30-1 shots to goals ratio!
And we are scroing alot from theo's crosses! YAY.
Lets go to Wigan and snatch those three points!

There was such an air of woe before the season even kicked off and a certain inevitability of what was coming. I think the despair of the fans had penetrated the dressing room and it showed on the pitch. The Liverpool game was woeful if I'm honest, more so in that a very average Liverpool side were, int he end convincing winners. As for the Utd game, that's best erased from the memory, I don't think we'll ever see a performance that bad again (I should hope).
Massive improvement from nearly a real "worse case scenario". I still think the race for 3rd and 4th is wide open, but we're certainly not favourites, as it stands it's incredibly even.
I think a bonafide class signing and statement of intent in January could make a world of difference...

Quite agree with you Moistthighs but it ain't gonna happen. Well, not if you believe M. Wenger quotes on Arsenal.com.
So...........where does that leave us? I think we need to buy a top class striker to help out RvP. I could go on and on but my attention span is that of a gnats....

In hindsight it would have been an idea to sell Nasri and Fabregas early, but for less money, and then sorted out the squad improvements before the season started.
But, we may have still struggled to make deals, and it may have still been a final day thing i guess.
