Finally, some people are starting to notice just how bad we are. Ive seen comments from Arsenal, Spurs and now ManU fans saying that we are the worst side they have played this season.
Villa fans knew this all along (as did Blues fans) - so how much longer will it take before Randy realizes we need a different manager.
Bent will surely leave in January, and I will have no complaints when he departs, so much has changed for the worse ever since the start of the summer.
I really wish we still had GH

Tokyo,
Just be thankful you got McLeish instead of Carson Yeung. The worst McLeish can do would be get you relegated (still a long shot). We'll be lucky if we've still got a club by the summer.
I'd expect that, if you don't pick up at least one win from either Bolton or Stoke, the writing will be on the wall for Alex.

Blues fans like my self said this would happen reminds me of all the hope and promises from AM... said this to family who support Villa this would be the case... No been top manager.. one style of play does not know how too use quality players such as Albrighton, Nzogbia and Bent...
Good luck howether sooner or later you will be calliing for AM too leave... Hope you are wiser than Blue noses make it sooner look at Blackburns protests and take note...
We @ Blues have been left in mire but we are playing reasonable football at moment with any overdraft that is limiting indeed...

Its interesting how Blues and Villa fans have something strong in common here, albeit an experience that hasn't been pleasant for either.
If we had the spirit of the Blues team with Villa's players, it would be a strong side.
Sadly Villa have a weak manager who likes blaming the players, and Blues have the financial anxieties with Yeung. I hope for the sake of football, both clubs get to solve their respectives issues soon.

The only way of getting rid of McLeish is through the fans, so they must act. Booing is not enough, fans must start taking banners to games with 'McLeish out' and making their anxieties known before it's too late. This is what happened with O'Leary and other managers who the fans didn't want. I'm really surprised that there has not been a backlash against him yet, as we are playing the worst football I've seen from a Villa side for 20 years of watching them and it is very likely we will get to the new year either in the relegation zone or very close to it. McLeish has completely betrayed this club to be honest. Dropping N'Zogbia completely from the squad yesterday was another ridiculous decision, even if he had failed to turn up for a physio session. We have far too little quality to afford to drop players of N'Zogbia's calibre for a game against the champions and he should at the very least have been on the bench.
The media don't care about where this club is heading and in fact like Villa being in trouble. I read on the bbc yesterday from a so-called football expert that Villa fans only didn't like McLeish because of his Birmingham background, which is complete tosh and so stupid you wander how these people get jobs reporting on football. But it probably isn't stupidity: rather, it's the fact that the media like Villa doing badly. I don't know why this is, but the media won't publish negative things about McLeish to help us. If it was Tottenham who were stuck with him, or Liverpool, we wouldn't hear the end of it, but as it's Villa then it doesn't matter, even if he is well below par for a club of our size and stature.
Yesterday we were once again awful against a United side who were well below par. How many times can McLeish get away with putting men behind the ball and playing so negatively? There has to be some sort of response from the fans soon because this is our club and it is slowly being destroyed. Lerner must realise he made a huge mistake, swallow his pride and sack McLeish, and get in Hughes who will do a good enough job for the time being. It is unlike this club to sack a manager halfway through the season but it is absolutely necessary right now. McLeish is the worst manager I've seen at Villa in 20 years and he will ruin this club if nothing is done to stop him.

I wouldn't blame Bent if he angled for a change. Don't think he's actually looking for one; he's well suited to Villa, or the sort of Villa we could be. Wonder if AM seems him more as a problem than an asset though.
I think Bent is terrific. He's always there waiting to poach, and that keeps defenders occupied. We need other routes to goal; the idea that teams need to be set up for Bent is nonsense, but there do need to be players near enough to feed him passes, along with other options.
In his way he's our best player. He kept us up last season. Don't sell Bent. Sack AM and get in someone who knows how to use our squad.
