Nothing too serious today folks but I noticed that some teams including Arsenal don't cover both posts at corners. I'm sure you must have noticed this.
For instance, yesterday against Wigan, Vermalen scored from a corner at the far post where the post was not covered. Against Chelsea last month Terry scored from a corner where we hadn't guarded either post and we don't seem to have rectified this. Although we haven't conceded any goals from corners since, unless we change this, I feel we soon will.
Like I said nothing too serious, Just an observation on my part. But has it become a trend?

Is it a trend, I wonder??

It is usually the 'keeper who makes the decision on whether a team defends the posts. We always used to have a man on each post, but obviously Szczesny prefers not to have this extra protection.

I think it's odd not to have men on both posts, but yes it is obviously a deliberate setup by Szczesny and many other keepers.
