A bit of a slight on Ally, that you have to bring in someone to look over him......

I thought hevlearned from the master for the past 7 years

Nonsense. Smith has been brought in to handle the old chief executive's role plus other jobs that will help Ally big style. Also, Smith has always been quite vocal in his dislike of the situation at Hearts and so not likely to be someone that steps over Ally's toes. Can't think of a better appointment.

Have to say that I was never sure of Smith and can't say that it is a good move for RFC. Similarly with Ali Russell who I haven't heard of. But what I can say is that RFC are acting. Remember the debacle at this time last season with Celtic trying to bring in that English guy from Scandinavia somewhere as Director of Football to help Lennon? At least RFC keep things close to their chest and it only comes out when the guy is in place.

You've alluded as to why Rangers would want to have kept this manoeuvre close to their chest
