In just 11 or so games, Scott Parker has probably become my fave player at the club.
This is an illustration of why:

Two things stand out
1. He gets up straight away, like he did when was his nose was broken.
2. After traning with him for just a few hours, the other England players know he doesn't need any help or sympathy.
Parker was born a man. He feels no pain. Referees respect him so much they don't give him yellow cards when he deserves them. Parker is Chuck Norris.
Absolutely immense and comparisons with Dave Mackay are fair.
Parker - best in the league right now

"Shame it's taken him until his late 20's early 30's to find the form and consistency to make him a regular England international"
Probably been so for quite a while, but the Spanners effect has IMHO been a hindrance to him ( 'yeah, he would look good playing in that shambles' etc) .
And he has been on the level that part of the reason he is at Spurs is his desire to be in the squad that goes to Euro 2012.

Parker knew gutless Darren Bent would turn his back on that free kick so had to dive in and save the team!

Saw a stat the other day that ol Benty has the least amount of touches per game - only 26 on average!

Fair point Greatteams, however you can only get away with that if you've got a midfield like Spurs surely?

"Bent is what he is, a goalscorer"
Methinks that word is being used quite loosely (in general, and wrt to Lineker) .
