As hazsa says - if he gets it, it's not a curse, it just looks like one. His doing-well might get him the award, but then because he's doing well, the most likely direction is towards worse performance.

I believe the curse only works once a season and Robbo has already been manager of the month in August.

As I said elsewhere, if you're the sort of person to believe in curses then I suggest you may be following the wrong club!

Powell does well and gets to the top, so gets the award. His team may now do as well or worse than before, but if they do worse its more likely to be something else than getting the award.

That said, now that we know Powell has got it and not KR, I am with you in hoping the curse works just this once...
