blues fan in peace....dont think you could of asked for a better set of opening fixtures...all of which you should be surely looking at winning if as you say you are aiming for a top six finish...i think they are a great test to see the direction you will be going under McLeish. In theory they are games you should be looking to attack from the outset but will he take the risk, as he never did at Blues.

Could not agree more - on paper a super start for McLeish.
We'll be unbeaten up to end of sept! Heres hoping.
I know McLeish was negative with Blues, i cannot see this being the case at Villa. We do however need to be more stong at the back which will help (think we conceded in the majority if not all games last season).
McLeish will no doubt contact MON (as they always got on very well from the Celtic/Rangers and Villa/Blues derby days) with regards player strengths etc.

i dont see it that way, to win the first fixtures at the start of any season is a tough, ill be happy just to come through em unbeaten. thats a big ask for any team
