Genuinely lost for words after that hovel! It was bad enough with the team selection but then to go out because of inept goalkeeping and defending with no creativity in the middle or out wide just shows how far from grace MANCHESTER UNITED have fallen.
Rooney, Nani, Young et al need to take an 'effin long hard look at themselves! Yes we sing their praises when they are on song, but being on song one game out of 10 is quite frankly disgusting! Evra comments that it is embarrassing to be in the Europa, well it is and I hope he's shown the door. Since his French revolution he's been pants!
We blame, the Carrick's, Gibson's and Evans week in week out but at least they play with heart even if they are clumsy!
I genuinely want us out of the Europa league ASAP because unlike our now better neighbours, our squad is very poor and we wont even sustain a league challenge at this stage, especially playing Thursday to Sunday We could blood the youngsters some experience but the whole reason we didn't buy in the summer was due to having Ravel, Pogba and co yet we see nothing of them, (which only makes me think we really don't the funds!). Its a learning curve for City, but what's our excuse?
I welcome all Arsenal, City, Liverpool and Chelsea fans to come and give us abuse, WUM us, because we deserve it - any team that loses a two goal lead at HOME to Swiss minnows (all due respect because they did hand it to us) do no deserve any sympathy!
I genuinely hope SAF spends in JAN but i cannot see this and i also hope he reminds them about the pride, passion, history that surrounds this illustrious club and what it means to wear THE RED OF MANCHESTER like the Busby Babes and previous greats, because WE ARE MANCHESTER UNITED, AND WE WILL NEVER DIE, or we will slowly disappear into wilderness like another once dominant giant and we all know how that worked out for them 21 years later.
Thoughts?

I don't see how SAF is being stubborn when he's only played them when he's had too for the most part

He had to do this because he reinforce the midfield whe required and hasn't given pogba, morrison et al the chance he said he would. Only has himself to blame if as we are to believe he DID have funds.
But that said these professional players, they need to really fix up!

I don't think Fergie should be excluded from blame just because he has been brilliant for us.
This season he has made some quite shocking mistakes and played people out of position such as Rooney in CM which i beleive has destroyed his season as now he doesn't look like scoring AT ALL !! whereas before he was scoring for fun.
Of course there was his biggest mistake of all, and that was going through summer and not signing at least one CM player, that for me was a school boy error. EVERYONE can see that we have strong side APART from in central midfield.
Either he is blind to the problem or we don't have the money, in which case he NEEDS TO TELL US !!

I think most of the football world is shocked - not just by your exit but by the awful performances. Not to beat Basle at least once is, well pathetic.
I think the problem is that Fergusson has a way of playing that suits the English league but the new players can't adapt to the change in the Champions League. It's a little silly to criticise a team which has reached so many finals but this new team is light for Europe. It needs mure substance. Also, I think your criticisms of Chelsea's old team has hidden the fact that a lot of your important players are just too old now.

If Utd want to compete with best which is what Fergie said after our hammering in CL final then you need to spend money.
The players we got did NOT solve any of our problems, De Gea is a rough diamond and needs time same with Jones.
Young is massively overrated and has been poor for us, then Scholes retired and Fergie did nothing to address this massive hole !!
Not saying anyone could directly replace him but there are players out there but they will cost a lot but if you want to be at top you need to spend. FACT
