The Glory Hunters: Thursday

Previously on The Glory Hunters: Clive Chives and Tarquin meet up regularly to discuss football and ogle barmaid's bottoms.

Clive: Tarquin my old chummer, how prithee be thee?

Tarquin: Not so good old chummer.

Clive: Well perhaps you should have a beer to take your mind of things.

Tarquin: Oh yes, I'll have a can of Bass Shandy please.

Clive: I don't think they sell that here, I'll see if they have anything similar, excuse me miss.

Elena: Yes sir?

Clive: Do you have anything similar to a Bass Shandy?

Elena: I can do you a shandy if you like?

Clive: But is it Bass?

Elena: Sure, why not?

Tarquin: Just a half please, I don't want to get too drunk!

Clive: She's very pretty isn't she the new barmaid. Do you think he's Polish?

Tarquin: I imagine so, she certainly has a Polish bottom. We'll ask when she comes back.

Clive: So why so down?

Tarquin: My new club, Man City, has been relegated to the Europium Cup.

Clive: Really? So has my beloved Man United.

Tarquin: Really? How strange. Well perhaps all the fans will travel to the games together.

Clive: Travel to the games? Won't they just watch them on TV like us real fans?

Tarquin: Well some people can't afford Sky in this day and age, Clive.

Clive: Ah but I've heard the games are on Channel 5 on a Thursday.

Tarquin: Well that's alright then. Oh wait! Thursday? That'll clash with Glee. I'll have to chose another team to support I think.

Clive: Good point, who do you think you'll go for then?

Tarquin: I don't know, I liked Man City they spent lots of money. Perhaps I'll go for Liverpool, with all the money they've spent they're bound to win something. Ah here's the barmaid with my drink. Excuse me miss, are you Polish?

Elena: No. I'm from Durham.

Clive: So Eastern Europe then. It's all much of a muchness. You're very pretty you know.

Elena: I used to be a man.

Tarquin: Used to be you say? Well that's good enough for me.
