Arsenal and Chelsea in crisis?

Supposedly both Arsenal and Chelsea are in crisis according to the media. However, despite being in crisis they have both qualified for the knockout stages of the champions league. Whilst the media's two favorites - Man Utd & City have dramatically failed in the quest to make it into the latter stages of the competition. Which brings me to my main question - Are the two Manchester clubs in crisis. I will start with United - Behind in the premier league by five, out of the Carling Cup by being defeated by Crystal Palace possibly out of the Fa Cup with a trip to their city rivals to come in the third round, and, now embarrassingly out of the champions league. City have also narrowly missed out on qualification to the next round of Champions League. Could this be a start of a poor run for the Mancini Boys. With difficult Epl games to come including In-form Chelsea and Arsenal, fa cup tie against United, and, Liverpool in the Carling cup.(Okay, they will win the that one easily). Who would have thought it would be two London clubs having the tremendous European nights in the Champions League whilst Manchester has to deal with the likes of Shamrock Rovers, Hanover etc in the Europa.

Captain Chelsea

Don't agree with your Champions League statement. They might be new tot the competition but City have players like Toure, Silva, Na$ri, De Jong, Tevez, Aguero, Balotelli etc. Who have ll played in this competition before so they should have been good enough to qualify at the expense of the sublime Napoli.

Great One

Im not surprised they didnt qualify. Mancini doesnt have a good record in the CL. I dont think he knows how to set up his team properly in it. It was why he was sacked for Mourinho from Inter.

If the draws are favourable, i think there is one spot avaiable for either us or arsenal in the semi's. Madrid, Bayern, Barca.......Would have said Inter but they are awful this season.

Bayern are beatable, don't get me wrong they're definately 3rd favourites. But I wouldn't go into the game with no hope.

Barca and Real really do look unstoppable.

I also love this "crisis" - 3 wins on the bounce in the PL and CL, qualification into the CL knockout stages, in the top four in the table and everything still to play for.

Long may our "crisis" continue .
