Okay, so it was only Wolves, but we can only beat what's put in front of us and today we done it with complete style. The only disappointment for me was that Morrison wasn't on the bench, I think this game would have given him the perfect opportunity to come on with half an hour to go in a game that we were dominating.
Special mentions:
Evans - often comes in with a lot of criticism, 2 years ago was an amazing prospect for us and was a big part of that record breaking clean sheet team. Last year, seemed to go backwards and make a mistake a game that lead to a goal.
This year it seems he's back to his best, and we need to appreciate he's still young, will still make mistakes, but has so much potential.
Jones - My man of the match, he's 19, he's a CB but he completely bossed and dominated that midfield in the way that Keane would have done. I have to mention again, he's only 19! He's amazing and if I was Capello and wasn't able to fit him into a CB spot in the summer then I would definitely consider putting him ahead of Barry in CM, still early days of course he's only played 3 or 4 times for us in midfield so it would all depend on how many more opportunities he gets by the end of the season. It's one thing doing it against Wolves, it would of course be a completely different situation trying to do it against Spain!
Carrick - Often the centre of criticism. The last few weeks he's really been standing out with his performances and has become a very important fixture in our team and I would put him down as one of the first 11 to be on the team sheet for any game. How he's not in the England team is beyond me, should definitely start ahead of Barry without question!
Nani - What a performance by him from the left wing, he tore up park against Basel and today was tearing up Zubar for fun. 2 goals, one excellently taken, let's hope his form kicks on from here because an inform Nani is pivotal to our title defence.
Rooney - About time he got back on the score sheet, he missed a sitter against Basel, after breaking his 8 game duck let's hope he can kick on from here and lead the team.
Fryers - Well done for getting his PL debut, whilst the majority of us fans have been getting excited over the likes of Morrison and Pogba, Fryers has quietly overtaken them in the pecking order when it comes to youngsters, he was the first to taste carling cup and now the first to taste some PL action. He looks a decent prospect too so I hope he continues to put in the hard work. How could I forget, he's also had a taste of the Champions league.
The perfect response

Yep, was good to see Fryers come on, looks disciplined to me which I think is why he got the nod to start. Even though was out of position a few times today I think he looks like he could be the natural successor for Evra.
Jones was pure class, he almost looks like a player in his mid 20's already.

"I think he looks like he could be the natural successor for Evra."
I think he's naturally a centre back, just right now LB seems to be the only opportunity for him as we have an abundance of young talented CB's and you'd have to think he won't get anywhere near that position

Great analysis got to agree. Some of our play at times today was really good, have to agree that all the players you’ve highlighted did indeed have good games. I also feel Welbeck had a good game today and played some really intelligent passes as well as making a number of good runs. I feel this will be the start of a run of good games for us.
Only thing that annoyed me about the team this week was not putting Nani as my FF captain!

Couldn't agree more. The protection he gives our back four is so underestimated. He's the perfect wing-man for players like Jones and Cleverley that like to push on. Good to see him getting some good form back....

Made up that Carrick is playing well and is silencing the 'not united class' idiots who wanted him gone in the summer, his passing was brilliant today and protects the back four like a boss, if Fryers has a good injury free run over the next few seasons it could well spell problems for one of the da silvas.
