Would anyone fancy a cheeky punt for Barton as back up for Lucas in January? He's from Liverpool, a strong and vocal advocate for Justice with regard Hillsborough, said a few decent things about our club and supporters on twitter before the game and had a decent understanding with Andy Carroll at Newcastle?
Can't imagine it would take too much persuading to prise him away from QPR and it looked like him and Bellamy could be good mates today

Wtf.... Is the op serious? Just because someone believes in our hillsborough campaign means we should sign them? For christs sake, the Guy is a yard dog. Joey Barton is a decent player, obviously I don't want him just because he supports the Hillsborough campaign, I would stake my life that 95% of players in England if asked would say they supported it
However he has played for two teams already but I'm not sure if the rule is cant play for more than two teams per calendar year or per season

Barton is a good player and would have had a few caps for England by now if it wasn't for his stupidity. He needs to be kept on a very very short leash which only a few managers could do.
Apart from the fact you can't play for more than two clubs in one season, the main reason I wouldn't like him in red is the xabi Alonso leg breaker. Horrible challenge.
