Ask India they are backing them...
There should be a two tier test championship. with 10 teams. 5 in each.. with a promotion and relegation.. for the bottom team of the first tier and top team of the second tier..

I would`nt want a 2 tier system to be honest. This would jeopardise the Ashes but Bangladesh need to man up or ship out, they`ve had long enough to improve but seem to be stagnant....

Does anyone actually care about games such as this....it could as well be Sri-Lanka or India playing either of these countries and no-one could give a flying fook about it really....

I disagree with the 2 tiers of 5 and 4 teams. What would change? Pakistan would be a tier 2 team and they're the ones thrashing Bangladesh.
Just get rid of Bangladesh. Get them playing 4 day matches against Ireland, Netherlands and that lot. If and when their standard gets better then give them a one off test to find out.

2 tier will kill test cricket. No one will give a damn about the 2nd tier, there will be no interest, no tv money and then test cricket will become a minority sport. The game needs to spread and Bangladesh need to poach players from Pak and India to make them more competitive.

Bangladesh will never make it.. They may win the odd game out of 20..But they are no where near competitive.
Either keep them and let them play against the likes of Zimbabwe/newzealand/ west-indies and maybe add Ireland into the mix.. At test level or just get rid of them all together. Playing anyone above 6th in the rankings will just be a smashing for them..

Ah I forgot about Zimbabwe.
Honestly, i'm a genius, I can resolve this situation. Just put Bangladesh in a group with Zimbabwe, Ireland and Netherlands. Do a two year cycle of first class matches at home and away.
The winner of the group then plays the number 9 ranked team from the main group of Test Nations in a 3 Test Series. If they win then they can play Test Cricket again.
Now that would be exciting. New Zealand playing Bangladesh for the right to play Test Cricket.
