So the Martin O'Neill era at Sunderland starts with a win. And one of the reasons fot that was the introduction of ex-NI U21 international (who has since declared for us) James McClean from the bench. The young lad had an excellent debut and while it's a lot to ask if he can make an impression between now and the end of the season maybe he can force his way into Trap's plans?

He gave a good account of himself when he came on for the last 15 minutes. Great to see him make his Premiership debut. Obviously O'Neill rates him as well otherwise he wouldn't have brought him on when Sunderland were losing 1-0!!
It would be good to see former Cork City player David Meyler force his way back into the side as well

Now that Mr O Neill is saddling up and making tracks, the Derry, Cork and Sligo buzzards are starting to circle Tallaght .But, the title is staying on the Southside for one more year, and we're due a Cup too.Twill be a very competitive L.O.I. season, that's for sure.

Unfortunetly for McClean, we've got some quality wingers at the moment. He's only played 15 minutes of top flight football so I'm not getting carried away. This chap has zilcho chance of being in our squad for the European Championships.
