So a lot of people on here have been saying that Coyle does not seem to know who his best 11 are and that we need stability (the same people saying Coyle needed to change things up a few weeks ago). Now looking at Newcastle up until recently their back 4 have all been the same in every game the same 4 players. Now we have not had a stable squad for the entire season and the two main reasons for that are red cards and injury.
Why are we getting so many little injuries apparently Muamba was not fully fit for villa NRC was out Steinsson has been out injured twice this season and Riley is also injured so why are we getting so many little injuries to the squad it was the same last season as well every so often a new player would be out for a few weeks. What are we doing that we were not a few seasons ago under BSA as I never seem to recall us having a player out for a week or two under him that was not match related.
Anyway the point to this is that we need to get the players fit who are going to be fit soon and keep them that way and we need to prevent any more little injuries so we can get a consistent team to start to gel and stop players getting sent off as well. do this and we will know our best fit 11 and perhaps we can start putting in a decent performance.

Due to the injuries, there are so many players that are as good/bad as each other.
I do agree that we need some consistency, though. I would just like us to change to a 451 and stay like that. Mavies is key, Klasnic up top.
We need to get back to what we know. Pressing hard, getting around the 2nd ball going from there. Play the percentages.

bad luck i think.if you look at last season we were playing more or less the same team each week until new year.

Scrap 4-4-2; I don't think it is quite working (17 defeats in 20 games, going back from last season. No draw in 25 games).
To me 4-5-1/4-3-3 is crying out - its just something different and I think it'll work with the players we have got - it can't be any worse than 4-4-2 anyway.
For Fulham, I would start with 4-5-1 and make the pitch as small and tight as possible - something Coyle has failed to get to grips with I'm afraid to say; Saturday being the classic example where we were wide open right from the off.
Jussi
Boyata
Cahill
Knight
Robbo
Kakuta (Eagles frustrates me)
NRC (If fit)
Muamba
Mavies
Petrov (deserves another chance)
Klasnic

Last time we tried 4-5-1 was at Swansea away and we got caught out on the break with Pratley being our last man somewhere near the halfway line.
2 on 1 against Jussi, 3rd goal.
Owen Coyle doesn't know how to play that way.

To be honest bricks any team with pratley regardless of formation is likely to lose he is dog po&p

True Petrov, plus we only had 10 men...

WTF? Are you serious?
It was in injury time, we had everyone up chasing an equaliser with 10 men!!! It had nothing to do with formations!!!
