Kenny's Rotation of Carroll

We have played 19 games this season with Carroll starting in 10 of those games, with three goals to his name this season. Carroll's recent ratio of goals is 2 in his last 6 starts, which is better then partner Luis Suarez, who currently has 1 goal in his last 6 starts. Carroll's ratio being 0.33 goals every game, and Suarez's ratio being 0.16 every game.

Carroll scored his first this season in the Carling Cup, and was placed on the bench the next game. He was also again placed on the bench in the next game after he scored against Everton. He did get to finally start the next game, after he scored against West Brom.

Carroll has only started three games in a row once so far this season (Stoke, West Brom and Swansea), and for the majority of the season has been in and out. I feel that games can only be good for Carroll and the club as a whole, and overtime we can get used to him and he can get used to us. We need goals at the moment and Kuyt has been nothing special recently. Actually our last two goals have been headers (Suarez, Kelly).

Carroll needs time, games and patience.

To me the chopping and changing of the team is one reason Carroll is taking time to adjust. He would be playing better and scoring more if he played every game IMO.

But he plays like a lemon whilst Suarez doesn't.

How I'd like him to play well but hopefully if he gets games in the cups his touch and form may improve.

He gets a game and they play the same way they never whip balls in for him and when they play it long he usually 9/10 wins the flick on and theres nobody within 20 yards of him.

All this oh its Andy's fault with fitness/drinking etc is b0ll0x he worked as hard as anyone else last game vs Chelsea, he was winning pretty much everything but he was isolated. Sometimes his movement is as bad as Charlie Adams was in his first few games but not the last few times ive seen him he looked up for it.

If we are going to play him we don't really need to play it long, its an option and an outlet but ideally with players like Adam/Enrique/Johnson/Downing/Maxi/Gerrard when back id like us to cross a lot more and get atleast 2-3 players in the box when we.

I think Kuyt behind Carroll is best if we lose Suarez at some point i don't rate Kuyt highly because he has a donkey touch and is wasteful in posession but his work rate and energy allows him to get in support of Carroll and compete for his fick ons etc and join him in the box because Kuyts not all that bad in the air and competes for it.

On the subject of Kenny's rotation, am I the only Liverpool fan slightly annoyed that a player as important as Lucas was risked in a Carling Cup game and now is going to miss the whole season?
Haven't seen it written on here yet and I'm fully behind Kenny, but surely a game like that would have been a good game for Spearing to get a little more experience?

Spearing played the whole game, and I think KK saw it as a good chance for a trophy which could build momentum. I was at the game and the Brighton Game Spearing played and he was awful in both.

Im surprised it doesn't feel like Carroll has started so many games. Haven't seen enough of him with maxi / bellers on the pitch at the same time as him.
