is the Silva penalty not as clear cut as Neville is making out.
He keeps "slowing it right down" and showing us the most minimal of contacts, bordering on the nonexistant. For me, and this may just be royal-blue tinted glasses, Silva goes down too easily and it isn't a pen. Comparing it to the Modric pen from yesterday I think there is less contact.
On another note, Bosingwa's role in tonight's game has been underplayed. I, like many others, was anticipating an embarrassing series of gaffes, being caught out of position and generally showing everyone why Ivanovic should play RB. Instead, barring the aforementioned display of rashness, it was a fairly decent performance from the monobrow and he even put in a few dangerous balls, Drogba's laziness the only reason we didn't take advantage of them....
Opinions?
Is it just me or...

Hate to say it but im fully with Neville on this one.
It was stonewall if im honest but remember what comes around goes around, remember the 2 pens we got denied at the Eithad last season?

Definitely not as clear a penalty as Neville made out, but I would have given it.
Very similar to the Modric one yesterday but the fall wasn't so theatrical. I don't think Silva dived.

Still not consistent enough and has had long enough to establish himself.

It was a blatant penalty and there was more contact than the Modric one which imo was a dive.
Despite this, Chelsea played very well tonight

It was a penalty, but time we got some dodgy ref decisions going our way.
Drogs and Bosingwa were average tonight while the rest of the team did us proud.
I would like to have kept Alex for the defence.
Well done again Chelsea and let's chase down the rest.

To be fair, Silva only has himself to blame, should have taken the shot on earlier. A player of his talent surely should be able to score from there.
