January transfer window

A couple of shouts for Alex, he seems a good player, but whay is AVB not playing him? He might be another disruptive player and after Bellers and Carlos city should steer clear.

I've thought Alex could be a shout since he had a transfer request accepted the other week. We need someone who is going to push Lescott and Kompany for a starting eleven CB spot, because at the moment, neither deserve a guranteed place in our strongest XI. Kolo should move on and Savic isn't ready yet.

Might need a central midfielder too, depending on injuries and with Yaya going off to ACON.

Also reckon we need a striker. Not a big name or price tag, but someone like Owen at United - happy with a peripheral role, but can still poach the odd goal.

Goalkeeper?

Doubt it. We could easily fit a player like Owen into our squad as it stands, but I'm struggling to think of anyone who fits the bill so I doubt we'll bring one in.

Midfielder all depends on injuries by the time Yaya leaves, and how many competitions we are still in. A couple of games into Jan and we could only be fighting in one competition (hope not touch wood).

As for a defender, our defensive problems are pretty plain to see if you saw any of last nights game. A mix of poor form and lack of depth means a defender should really be our main target for January, if only as a quick fix til summer.

We only play one up most games anyway because of the amount of midfielders we have......which brings me to the next one.

Yaya going to the ACON just means Nigel gets more games.
No....the only problem area is central defence and it should have been addressed during the summer.
Vince has quality but we need someone world class alongside him.

I've known ONH long enough to take most of what he says with a handful of salt.

I'm not saying we need another top quality 20m+ striker, that would be daft, but if you look at the other teams at the top of the table, Spurs have 4 and the others have 5 or 6. We've played a combination of Aguero with Dzeko or Balotelli in most matches this season, an injury to any one of them and we're down to two strikers for four competitions.

As for midfielders, I did say that depends on injuries, but we lose Yaya and we've got 7 midfielders, again for 4 competitions, and that includes Owen Hargreaves. An injury to any one of those 7 and realistically we could be down to 5 senior midfielders, drafting in players like Zab and Kolarov to play in the midfield.

Jan Vertonghen would be my shout for a new CB.

So is De Rossi a bargain or a loan deal ?!

Alex is out of form that's why AVB doesn't play him & he will be moving abroad sorry to burst your bubble
