Luka Modric - opinions.

I'm just wondering if you Spurs fans really rate Modric as much as the press and 'pundits' seem to?

I've watched a few games of yours this season and I don't think he offers much personally. He gets lauded as one of your more creative players, but I believe this is only because he sits alongside Parker, who is only bettered at finding killer a sideways pass by Denilson. Modric just seems to drill the odd ball diagonally forward now and again and hope for the best. Half the time he just gives it away and has to rely on Parker to run his nuts off to win it back, or hope the world class Kaboul and King can spare his blushes by stopping the attack. The thing that makes him occasionally look good is the sheer pace of Lennon and Bale to get onto the end of his over hit blunders of 'passes'.

End of the day, stats don't lie. Parker got player of the month for having to put in twice the work rate winning the ball back after Modric loses it, and he just hasn't contributed enough in attack to be classed anywhere near where Harry and the media seem to place him (£40m?! ).

Anyway, I don't mean to offend anyone, I'm just wondering if anyone else thinks he's an overly hyped Nigel Reo-Coker because he plays for Harrys Golden Boys? (And he looks like David Guetta )
