Keogh is reported on the BBC website as wanting to sign a permanent deal in January. He says that his heart is with Leeds, there is a great positivity in the dressing room and he feels we have a good chance of going up.
If some of the so called fans on here (you know who you are) could take a leaf out of his book instead of constantly looking for negatives, then the phrase 'marching on together' might once again be true.
At least the players are positive

No what i'm saying is if Macca was given say £3m to strengthen that back 5 then maybe we'd have won the league that year and Grayson would never have been given the job. He may have identified player x,y and z to come in but Bates wasn't willing to give him the cash, could he adapt? A clear no!
Purely based on some of the football played am i saying that potentially Macca could have been a class manager, but possibly the tactics he employed were his downfall. I seem to remember when Grayson took over he said something along the lines of we will continue to play football but only in the right areas.

How is Macca better when Grayson has done more?
It is silly saying it because it is not true.

Grayson has had the opportunity to do more.
Macca only had 11 months and still managed to sign 2 players who are still our best players.
It's silly saying Macca couldn't work with a tight budget when he brought in players like Snodgrass and Becchio and loans like Freedman.
He couldn't sign anybody with the transfer window shut. He was linked with Bruce and I've heard rumours about Hyypia, he could also have signed Naylor or Sodje and improved the defence.
Who's to say that Grayson's negative approach didn't cost us promotion that season? Don't forget that Hereford happened under him.

Macca had a whole summer to get his squad sorted but didn't address the poor players at the back, Lubo being one of them. At least Grayson rectified his mistake regarding signing and playing Collins and soon dropped him and sold him to the blades.
Also lets not forget Macca had his problems in terms of bringing the right players in. Lets not forget he brought in the likes of Showunmi and Telfer, then later added Christie and Assoumani. I can imagine the abuse Grayson would have got if he'd brought in the same signings.

Lubo, Paul Huntington and Rui Marques had all done well the previous season.
With a tight budget, Macca decided that money would be better invested in Becchio and Snodgrass, who have turned out to be two of the best investments in the history of the club.
Showumni, Telfer, Christie and Assoumani were all signed as cheap squad players.
Even though I think he's the worst manager of all time, I actually defend more Grayson signings than most, so you can't accuse me of double standards.
Most of Grayson's poor signings end up as first choice players and keep better players out of the team.
Everyone could see that Collins was poor when he was on loan in League 1.
For some reason Grayson decided to spend a six figure sum on him and make him his first choice defender in the Championship, and kept on playing him even though he had better players available.

Think Showunmi was originally signed to be an improvement on Kandol and the perfect partner for Beckford and when he opened his goal scoring account away at Scunny i thought we'd got the perfect player. Then when i saw him play in the home defeat by Oldham he was shocking so Becchio replaced him and showed a lot of promise in the 20 mins he got.which changed the pecking order.
Telfer and Christie fair enough were just brought in as experience and back up. Whilst Assoumani you might say was a panic signing which is often a criticism of Grayson's transfer deals.
On Collins i agree with you 100%. Him and Naylor were part of the defence that conceded 3 goals in 30 minutes at soon to be relegated Gillingham yet that is the pairing he went for against Derby back in the championship. Now Naylor was the captain and had proved himself earlier in that league one campaign to at least warrant a shot in the championship but Collins should definitely have been turned down.

He also signed Bruce who was better and had spent a quarter of million on Leigh Bromby and given him a 4 year deal.
It's that kind of insanity that makes me think that Grayson is the worst manager of all time.
You can forgive a panic signing when you're suffering from a poor run of form in a closed transfer window.
Christie actually looked really good when he played against Northampton in the FA Cup, and Telfer initially tightened things up at the back.
Just to balance things up, I'll defend Grayson's signing of Sam Vokes all day long.

Yeah i think the majority of our fans were more excited to see Vokes' name in our starting lineup v Norwich than to find out we also had Gradel on the bench. That soon changed when Gradel was introduced though as even in 15 minutes you could see he was a talented and exciting player. Thought Vokes would have later produced the goods against the lesser teams in the division but he just generally looked off the pace.
I agree Bromby was a strange signing given the length of the deal. The money was also not worth it and was probably just inflated because he played in the premier league for a brief spell. I hope Grayson doesn't make a similar mistake and sign O'Dea up on any long term deal as once they feck up completely they are hard to get rid of.
