Transfer activity: Your thoughts...

It's all gone quiet on the transfer activity scene; am not talking about the paper talk that has us linked with just about everyone bar the neville brothers but serious, bonefide news and confirmed signings.

Had hoped we'd of had at least another in the bag by the end of last week, alas, it didn't happen.

Moreover, our rivals activity seem to be gathering pace and some of the reported signings should bring a little more quality back to the EPL imo - however, as said - they're just reported too, so nothing definate.

Actually appreciate that LFC have a 'no comment' philosophy and am not complaining.....also appreciate that the transfer window is more like a game of chess than a trading platform.....nonetheless, will be relieved when we get the signings in (whoever they are).

Anybody feeling the same way or is it just me?

I love it when it all goes quiet, because your more likely to hear pens hitting paper.

A lot of people seem to feel the same way as you, as has been voiced on this forum but I can't understand why. I mean it is the 19th of June for crying out loud, the window doesn't even open for another two weeks. We have already signed a player for 13-20m and tried to buy another for 20m. What more can one possibly ask for at this moment in time?

Come on Reds, have some patience and more importantly, have some faith in the club, that they will bring in the right players, if and when they can.

The thing is, the players we'd like to see, like Honda, Zapata, Mata etc are not available for signing until 1st July.

I'd rather wait, thank you.

Although we are able to sign British players now, I do believe it's gone "quiet" because we are targetting better "Foreign" players instead.

Downing - No, -- Juan Mata - Yes.
Adam - No, -- J Martinez - Yes.
Dann - No, -- Zapata - Yes.

I have reliably heard that both the Neville brothers are undergoing medicals at Mellwood today.

What ?
We even put the toilet cleaners through medical ?
That's cautious

Faith I have by the bucketload but lack of patience is a known weakness of mine

The only thing I do know is that Kenny will do all he can to keep a lid on transfer info until the deal is done and dusted. Wether that means we will get the players the fans want is another thing, but it's does exlain why the media a playing guessing games.
