Updates on players FAI should be watching

As everyone is aware the FAI are currently keeping tabs on Derry born Shane Ferguson. This underage NIreland international is hotly tipped to go all the way and become a Premiership star in the next few years.

Many Newcastle United fans are predicting he will make become a regular in their side next season. He would defintiely be a welcome addition to the ROI squad.

But are there other players in the NIreland underage set up that the FAI should be watching with a view to getting him to switch to the Republic of Ireland.

I am sure there are a lot of ambitious players in the NIreland U-21,U-19 and U-18 squads who are seriously considering opting for the Republic.

The less ambitious will just stay put and plod along with the NIreland senior side.
